Q: Who are the artists in the arangetram orchestra?
A: The traditional Arangetram Orchestra consists of 4 members: a lead vocalist, mridangist, flautist, and violinist. The artistes are full time professionals from India who sing for Bharatanatyam shows for all leading performers in India . Pl check our Orchestra bios and their website for more info on the artistes . Since there are multiple teams Please check with the Artist Manager for team allocations and multiple options.
Q: What styles are the orchestra well versed in?
A: Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi
Q: What languages can the vocalist sing in?
A: Typically Bharathanatyam songs are in Tamil and Kuchipudi items in Telugu, however our lead singer is also well-versed in other languages and can sing in Hindi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali etc..
Q: How will the orchestra know the songs which need to be performed?
A: The orchestra knows all the standard items, but if not, can learn new items and come prepared wither – it is requested that new items be sent to the artist manager via G drive or Dropbox two months before the event.
Q: What are the charges and what is included?
A: The fee depends on the day and specific location of the event and will include travel costs. Fees will cover the cost for the entire orchestra for the Arangetram and rehearsals. Concession on price can be arranged if little to no travel is involved. If there are multiple Arangetrams on consecutive weeks, travel costs can also be reduced. Boarding and lodging for the orchestra is not included, but can be arranged for additional fee . The fee will be nominal and competitive. You can contact for your customized fee structure.

Q: what is the procedure once the date and fees are agreed upon ?
A: A formal contract will be sent by us and an advance of $1000 should be remitted along with the signed contract.
Q: What is not included in the fees ?
A: Boarding and Lodging for all the orchestra is not included in the fees and it is the Parents responsibility to host them and feed them during the week of the arangetram. But in case if needed We can be arranged for additional fee . The fee will be nominal and competitive. You can contact for your customized fee structure.
Q : CAN THE ARTISTES DRIVE TO THE REHEARSAL STUDIO IF A CAR IS PROVIDED ?
A: No
Q: WHEN DO THE ARTISTS START AND END THEIR TOUR?
A: Every year the Tour starts in June and will end in September and we have a special team based in the USA for arangetrams during the rest of the months .
